Blantyre Synod of the CCAP has entered into a tripartite partnership agreement with the Pittsburgh Presbytery of the United States of America and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of South Sudan.

The agreement was announced during a signing ceremony at Mpemba CCAP in Blantyre.

Speaking on behalf of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Moses Gatkouth expressed hope that the partnership will grow, describing the day as worth marking.

In her sermon, Blantyre Synod moderator Reverend Mercy Chilapula said the unity displayed in the  partnership has potential to spread the message to non-believers.

“Disunity in the church has made non-believers to question the integrity of the Church of God. Prayer is a powerful weapon to strengthen each other in spirit and encourage each other in faith,” emphasised Chilapula.

The ceremony was spiced by traditional music performances by Limbe CCAP Joint Choir, which saw Malawians, Americans and South Sudanese dance the afternoon away. The surprise package of the afternoon was Nyankuac Ngor Chor, a South Sudanese national who sang with the support of Limbe Joint Choir.
